Bio
Strategy alignment can be a challenging journey among leaders with different perspectives. Sometimes teams move ahead to execution without alignment and are disappointed with results. I like to remember; “Never confuse motion with action” from the quotable Benjamin Franklin. We make sure clients reach strategy alignment, so they experience actionable results.
My career spans executive leadership roles from small private companies to global MNCs in strategy development, risk management, internal audit, information security, data analytics, incident response and management, regulatory compliance, fraud investigations.
I am a mentor in the business mentorship program at the University of Chicago’s Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. As a mentor, I share insights with emerging entrepreneurs by providing security, risk and compliance advice to startups and technology innovation companies. In addition, I serve on the Advisory Board at the Quinlan School of Business’ Center for Risk Management within Loyola University Chicago. I have been involved in shaping the mission and vision of the Center. Lastly, I am a member of the Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Awareness Committee for the Financial Executives International (FEI) Chicago Chapter where I have been part of programming on equity and social justice.
Prior to starting Longview Leader, I started an enterprise risk management function for Aon’s HR Outsourcing and Retirement Solutions businesses. I have had roles in financial institutions ranging in asset size from $1.5B to $2.7T. While at HSBC (NYSE:HSBC), I held three roles in the North America region: Professional Practices, Financial Crimes Audit Team Leader and as Chief Audit Executive for Household Finance. At ABN AMRO/LaSalle Bank (OTC:AAVMY) I was a Vice President in Group Audit. I developed risk assessments of the bank’s wealth management division to include compliance with applicable regulations. In 2000, I started an internal audit function for GE Capital’s (NYSE:GE) Auto Financial Services business. When I was a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, I did internal audit co-sourcing, risk and compliance and SOX 404 engagements. In addition to my internal audit experience, I have held positions as Vice President of Technology Development and Integration and Training/Development for a Midwest Community Bank.
